SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a here result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
